FollowingthesuccessoftheirfeaturedebutJennifer’sShadow(2004)–(👬)anexerciseinAmericanGothicsetinascarylandcalledArgentina–PabloParésandDanieldelaVegaworkedforaUScompanyonapost-mega-disasterwastelandzombiefilminwhichSouthAmericahadbeenturnedintoanall-purpose,all-materialsjunkyard,withtheundeadasthelasthumaneentitiesaround(forgetaboutthehumanshere!). Theprojectnevermaterialised,butDiegoParés,Pablo’sbrother,startedtowriteanddrawacomicseriesbasedonthescreenplay–(🔛)whichsofarremainsaruin,asonlypartswerefinishedandpublished.TheECishbeautyandballsofDiegoP.’slabouroflovehavenowbeencongeniallytransformedbythedirectorialduointoadelightfullyold-(1970s)schoollow-budgetproduction,closertoRomeroandDantethanFulciandLenzi.AndtheIFFRaudienceisinforthetreatoftreatstheygettoseethefilmandcanalsoenjoytheunfinishedcomicinanexhibition.
